I have never seen a 2 3/4 shell #5 kill Cranes and Geese stone dead since when we could use lead shot. I'm stone dead killing Crane and geese at 40 yards. 1 shot= 1 kill. Thanks to Dusty and the gang at Final Descent Guide service for letting me try these bad boys out.

I have a few old guns that I like to shoot when the weather allows. The 2 3/4 #5 Bismuth was absolutely deadly on late season Mallards. Two three-day trips...30 green-heads. I came into waterfowl hunting after lead was outlawed. I can not imagine that lead could have been more deadly than these BOSS shells. Boom!

Initially used the 2 3/4 5's for my pheasant hunting then brought some to the duck blind. Found that this shell will work for all my needs. Excellent knock down power from pheasant, chukar, teal to mallards. Birds hit hard and fold on contact far more than shells I've used before. Could not be happier with the BOSS products overall and this shell does not disappoint.

I have shot A LOT of steel and A LOT of different chokes in an attempt to match performance of higher end non-tox loads. But you simply cannot compare pellet count to a tight steel pattern. The results are night and day. I was skeptical of Boss when I first heard of them years ago when Brandon was basically handloading them. Waited a bit and eventually tried them. Instantly hooked is an understatement. These crush birds if you put in the time and effort to find the right choke for you hunting situation and gun. DO NOT take more choke than you need since you are only handicapping yourself with a pattern that is too tight. I guarantee you will have far less cripples shooting these and more doubles and triples. Spend the time in the off season shooting sporting clays and your money will be well spent on Boss come hunting season. Oh, and did I mention the customer service is second to none. If you have an issue they will make it right. They are a fast growing company so have a little patience when it gets closer to hunting season and they are swamped with work.

The cost of non toxic shot shells has gone through the roof and that is IF you can find them. My BOSS order was filled and delivered right to my house at a cost less than other non toxic shot.
