I can not tell enough of my friends about Boss Tom, it is incredible ammunition. My first long beard of the spring season I took at over 70 yards. I understand this is not an ideal range but I knew from patterning the gun that I was still punching through plywood at 50 yards. When cleaning the bird I found that both legs were broken, 13 pellets impacted the body cavity, 9 pellets in the neck, and 1 in the head. Other than the usual wing flapping the bird didn't go anywhere and had expired by the time I reached him. My second bird of the season I took while hunting with a friend who was very skeptical of my story regarding my first bird. We had three long beards and a jake come in to 50 ish yards and hold up before becoming spooked. Both of us fired at the same time, my bird was down and his bird which was rolled by the shot was in the air. I transition from my bird to his and fired, the bird instantly crumpled. My buddy in disbelief ranged from his bird to our setup, 83 yards. If you searious about hunting and ethically harvesting animals you should look at boss ammunition. Also we took 46 geese and a hand full of ducks over the winter using the Boss 3/5 blend and 2 shot Bismuth which I also would highly recommend to avid waterfowl.

These shells are awesome, they seem a bit pricey if you don't know about thier knockdown power, but I can tell you they are worth every cent. I haven't had a gobbler do anything but a crappie flop after meeting a Boss tom shell.

I’ve hunted over 6 seasons with Boss now, 3” #7 out of a Winchester SXP and Carlson Turkey. I’ve killed over 21 birds from 6 steps to 76 yards. 8 of them beyond 60. I’d rather have them at 6 steps but for those hung up Toms, there’s are the ultimate pill. They’re a turkeys worst nightmare! 51 pellet average at 50 yards. If you’re planning on a full mount, you’d better find a prop head if they’re within 50, I’ve got a Grand Slam with these to prove it!

I patterned these shells alongside 2 different #5 shot size turkey loads I've previously used. Winchester SX3 with Carlson LR (non-ported) choke. BOSS 30 and 40 yard patterns were much more dense and on-target than the other options. The gobblers have evaded me so far this spring but I've got a few more weekends to get it done.

Tight Patterns and devastating power! These shells patterend phenomenal out of my Franchi Affinity 12g with a Carlson .665 Turkey Choke. Counted OVER 120 Pellets in the Head alone at 30yards! Slinging a Basketball size Pattern at 40yards with a clear mass of pellets right down the center. BOSS TOM Shells are by far the best Turkey shells I've ever shot

Absolutely smoked a turkey at 40 yards. Boom, Goodnigtht! I have shot a bunch of different loads of the years and I was hesitant to go with number 7s, they seemed to be too small in comparison to other turkey loads. But these little buggers pack a punch. They are my go to round from now on.

I will say I thought some of these reviews were over exaggerating but wow 5 stars I shot a tom this morning at about 55 yards and he flopped and never made another move great job boss you have my business from here on out!! The goose loads are the best also

Killed my first bird the spring of 1970 so I guess I’m considered an old timer, other than sticker shock, the Boss shell has been the best improvement I’ve witnessed to the sport of turkey hunting. I took two Rio’s at 35 yards in Texas last year and witnessed a bird taking at 55 yards with a TriStar .410. Called up one for a first timer who took it cleanly at 45 yards.
I’m impressed , amazing ammo, holds the tightest pattern on paper that I’ve ever seen. Now let’s work on the sticker shock, lol.

Ok, I had such a terrific experience with the waterfowl load
that I had to try the BOSS tungston load for turkeys. I set the turkey head/neck target at 38 yds, rest on sand bags. Fired one shot of lead #5, then one shot with BOSS #7. Results: Lead: 11 pellets in head/neck kill zone, 29 with BOSS. Pattern is tight, so relax and aim carefully before you shoot. [Rem 1187, Kicks 665] I suspect your kill range would be greater with BOSS. Test it in your gun, no shell for turkeys is too expensive to test!
