Been duck hunting for 40 years so I remember shooting lead, transitioning to the first steel shells…to 3 1/2 inch… to 1,500+ fps steel…to Black Cloud…to Kent Bismuth…to Boss Bismuth exclusively. We mic, weigh & count pellets, chrono & pattern all of our guns, choke tubes and loads we intend to buy and shoot. Hands down Boss is more consistent in size, weight, patterning and fps than any other shells we have checked. Boss quality is unsurpassed! Sold the last of my Black Cloud and Kent Bismuth last weekend at a duck hunter’s yard sale we had…now it’s Boss 4s & 5s in 12 ga and 4s &6s in 20 ga exclusively from here on out. Boss puts them on the water with cripples few and far between. So much better than any other shell I have used since non-toxic shells required for waterfowl!!!

I shot these exclusively during the 2021-2022 waterfowl season, shot the same in #5's last year.
These loads are killers for sure, however it took some testing with different chokes to achieve the desired patterns wanted at specific yardage. As always pattern your gun, choke and loads.
In my set up, Benelli M2, Boss 3", #4 with a Hevi shot ER choke tube at 40yds it's lights out for any duck. This combo patterns as well as anything I've ever shot. Find your correct set up with these shells and forget it. I'm very pleased with this product and will continue to shoot these untill I can't afford it or die.

I have read and heard about all the hype of Boss Shotshells and let me tell you it is all true!! The 12 gauge has been taking a backseat to my Benelli M2 20 gauge its lighter and more enjoyable to shoot and with Boss shells it flat out hammers the mallards and have even shot some crows with the 3in. #4’s. Went on a dryland cornfield hunt this past weekend and all my buddy’s were asking why I brought my 20ga. After a few volleys and them watching me shoot clean up on birds that were trying to get away and stoning them at impressive ranges they asked what the heck was I shooting for shells!!!!! Told them Boss the best there is!!!!! Can’t wait to get stocked up on more when they are available and contemplating getting a 28ga and running some Boss shells in it after seeing what the 20ga. Boss Shotshells can do. Thanks for great product great customer service and fast shipping also.

Boss #4 paired with an extra full choke is the last shell you will ever need! Ducks and geese over decoys out to 45yrds are not a problem for the 20gauge. It’s been fun shooting a 20 this year!

20 ga #6 or #4 for timber mallards and #3 for specks absolutely rolls them just as good as any 12 ga.

A few weeks back I bought a case of 200 20 gauge 3” #3 for duck season. We mostly shoot puddle ducks in SC and most are woodies. I had heard a lot about Boss shells and wanted to give them a try. We went sea duck hunting on Black Friday on the SC Coast(Murrells Inlet), and before we left I called the guide and asked what size shells he recommended for the ducks since they are so thick, he said 12 gauge 3” #2. I was eager and wanted to shoot my 20 gauge so I grabbed two boxes of Boss from my case and set out. Every bird I hit, folded instantly and no cripples. These 20 gauge boss hit just as hard if not harder than the others boys 12 gauge 3” #2. These birds were shot decoying 25-40 yards out, the guide was in disbelief of the 20 gauge doing that. He was even telling the other guys. Hey he’s got that bird, I know because he folded up and isn’t swimming around crippled. It was a awesome!!!! Customer for life, just get some more back in stock!!

I've now bought about 7 cases of both 20 and 12 gauge Boss shotshells. I'm telling you right now if you buy anything else you're wasting your money. Boss is the way to go nowadays.

Great product and great customer service
I have shot Kent’s for years but have now become a boss convert
Wish that availability was a little better but if you stick with it you can get what you need
As close to or better than any lead shot I ever used
Just a great product

Not as good as lead. BUT twice as good as the best steel shot money can buy!!!!

Not a bad choice for anything I run across while hunting. Easily handles any small game and will put a real hurting on big geese. Works with an old LC Smith SxS too
