Warchief 12 Gauge Shotshells

Opening day of Ohio duck/ goose season. First time using Boss Warchief #4 2 3/4 inch shells out of my farther's old A5. The load crushes duck and geese! took my limit of woodies 2 teal, and one magnum honker. No cripples. Outstanding product. No more steel shot for this old duck hunter.

The season hasn't started yet, so I have no field experience review yet but i can say that it was a lightning quick turnaround from the time I ordered until I received the shipping notice (less than 2 hours). On examination, these shells are well constructed, with very heavy duty base that is longer than other shells I've run....which should be great for cycling. These are the Warchief 3" 12 gauge #3/5 shells and I look forward to seeing them in action this season.

Thank you Boss! My wife dropped her very 1st ducks today shooting 20ga. 3 in. #4s during our controlled hunt this morning. To say she was thrilled is an understatement. These shells shot soft enough that she never even mentioned it, until I asked her after our hunt. I would recommend these shells for anyone looking for a shell that is comfortable to shoot and folds birds like a Boss. We will be enjoying blue and green wings and some Woody's this week thanks to Boss War Chiefs and Legacy Unmuzzleds. Btw, shout-out to W who hand loaded my wife's special memories today!

Once I received my box of 3/5 I patterned it in my new Franchi Affinity Elite 3.5 . Patterned very well with factory chokes. Can’t wait to see how it does this waterfowl season!

I tested these at 40 yards with an improved modified choke. The patterns are great, 80% average in a 30" circle. I have yet to test a shell that patterns like these do. I have tested some other wonder shells in the past but these are as advertised. These shells will be my standard going forward.

Recently on a public land hunt we had the opportunity to take some large geese. I shoot a Winchester Super X 4 with a full choke. Shell selection for the day was the 3in 3/5 Warchief. As a member of the program, I was able to have these in time for our early goose/teal season. The first flock of geese were about 25-30 yards and I doubled with both geese crumpling into the lake, both stone dead. Next bird was a single and was also stone dead at about a 35-yard crossing shot. The next days' hunt took us to a field where we had two more opportunities, both geese about 30 yards and were stone dead. Highly recommend BOSS, both the legacy as I have used the past couple of years now, and the warchief definitely has some great knockdown power and great pattern.
