Everything I have pointed at and shot with #3/5 war chief has died. I used it for early season geese, wood ducks, and mallards. I enjoy going home with more birds and more shells because it takes fewer shots to kill birds.

Expensive...yes, and worth every penny. I feel they are better than even the orginal Boss shells. I will continue to buy them. This is my second case this hunting season

Packed Warchief #5's 2 3/4" for opening weekend of California pheasant season. The 1.25oz load coming out of my Browning Cynergy with Carlson's bismuth chokes dropped those ditch chickens like a wet dish rag. Clean one shot kills, no cripples all weekend. It was my first time using Boss shells and it made me a believer. Nothing but Boss from here on out.

I shoot over impoundments at Buchanan Shoals and depending on blind assigned may be close shots at 20yds over decoys or long range passing shots out to 60yds. I shoot a Beretta Extrema with 30 inch barrel and use the 3” 3/5 combo in the vintage Boss and now the Warchief. Big difference with the latter in shots outside of 50yds where I see clean kills and few cripples! Great loads unsurpassed by any other manufacturer. Go Boss!!

Recently on a late season Delaware "Duck Hunt". Although it was late season, we were hunting over decoys, so I went with 1.25oz Warcheif #5s. Well giant honkers should up. The 5s crushed them! Shooting #5s at huge late season honkers & getting clean kills... WHAT!!!
Honestly, I think you could try 1.25oz Warcheif #6s, but for now, I'm a 5s guy all season long.

My first hunts this season I used legacy 23/4 3/5s and had no trouble dropping ducks over the decoys and some pretty far out. I got the warchiefs and man they are harder hitting than the legacy. Never lost a bird I shot or had to chase cripples. We had some ducks land at 40-50 yds outside the decoys and two I shot never got up. Good stuff. I’m impressed with it.

I`m shooting these out of an Auto 5 Browning , the best auto loading shotgun ever made; with the factory full 32" . The first shell crushed a wood duck at twice treetop high. I love being able to shoot Boss shells out of the older guns I have. My Citori shoots them great as well.
