I brought a box to try. I cut open a shell and it had 192 pellets in it. My general rule is to always have greater than 190 pellets in a load, so that was good. I tried an aftermarket extra full choke tube on my first hunt, and this load shot too tight for me in the field. I did pattern test this load at the range first. The extra-full choke did outstanding on paper, but I needed some grace on moving targets. I switched to my factory improved-modified choke, and I loved it. All my shots were with 45 yards, and if a duck was still alive when it hit the water, it wasn't a bird the dog had to work hard to retrieve. It's always nice to go 3 for 3 with no cripples when you get a flock in the decoys. I didn't get to try these on geese, but based on how hard they hit ducks, I wouldn't hesitate to take a great big honker at 45 yards. I know this a Legacy load, but it patterned really uniform out of my gun. I have no complaints or critiques. In the field, it was obvious I wasn't shooting steel shot. These a have a crunch factor with significant knock down power. The ducks don't fly off if you hit them. If the bird is still flying, you missed.

Hands down the best loads on the market. I’ve shot and patterned all brands over the years. Have been a Hevi shot preferred customer for years. Shot the 3in #3 last year at geese and knocked them dead. No cripples. Been using them this early duck season and one shot one kill. Ducks and geese don’t stand a chance. Gotta try!

I tried Boss Shotgun Shells last year and I never went back to my old standby brands.
Boss shells are simply the best if you are a dedicated duck hunter.

This will be our 3rd consecutive year of shooting Boss Shells. We tested them 4 years ago and we’re so impressed that they’ve become our staple in the field. The performance, price and service from Boss are outstanding.

I’ve been shooting boss shells for the last 3 yrs and no cripples! Pull the trigger and watch the duck fall from the sky!

hunting buddies didnt believe it was possible to make a bismuth shot round and sell it for this price. letting them shoot a couple rounds convinced them to start buying Boss! It's my go to bird killin' load!

Used these on a recent waterfowl trip to Kansas. I was folding up geese and mallards with no issues at good distances (out to 50+). Had no cripples at all with these. They hit hard and pattern great out of my Maxus. I'm a firm believer in these shells and will be a customer for life. Head and shoulders better than any traditional steel shot out there and more affordable than tungsten and "big name" bismuth.

Cycled smooth. Patterned perfect. Knocked down what I aimed at. Perfect Shell!

This stuff Works!! Last season I shot 2 3/4" #3 as my first shot and 3" #3 or 2's as my second. We shoot when the geese are feet down over the decoys at like 25 yards so most anything will work with a head shot at that distance. It's the second shot at quickly departing birds that really got my attention. Even when shot from the rear, these shells dropped geese at 35 to 45 yards, stone dead. The game deserves nothing less than these shells. Hope Boss once again will load the 2 3/4" 12 gauge in #3's.

I have been a duck hunter for 40 years. This ammo has changed the game. It patterns great in my Beretta. I have brought down ducks as far as 60 yards with it. I won't shoot anything else.
